Letters and Sounds Game for the Classroom
Hey, y'all! We're back into the swing of things and it's so nice to be into a routine again. This year, I'm teaching first grade again and I wanted to assess what my students remember from kindergarten. I created
this apple-themed letters and sounds game to help me get a better idea of what my students knew.
It's super easy. Just print the cards, laminate for durability if you want, and cut the cards out. Put the cards into a pocket chart and hide the worm behind one of the letters. The kids take turns guessing which card the worm is behind.
There are a couple of different ways to play. You could play with just the capital letters, just the lower case letters, or do a mix. You could have students guess the letter the worm is behind or say the sound. Or you could have them come up with a word that starts with the letter they are guessing. There are so many possibilities and ways to assess students with just a simple, free little game.
You can grab a copy of this free game in my TPT store
here. I'm always adding new things, so be sure to
follow me while you're there so you don't miss anything. I hope this game works for you and your classroom. Have a wonderful week and I'll talk to you soon.
